Permian bivalves From Kampar, Perak


Huge Permian bivalves, Tanchintongia perakensis sp. nov can be obtained from Kampar, Perak. The fossil locality is famous for the abundant occurrence of gastropods, bivalves, cephalopods and calcareous algea, but inaccessible now (Runnegar & Gobbet, 1975). Nakazawa (2001), identified 3 bivalve species in this locality as Sanguinolites ishii sp. nov., (Megalodon) Megalodonyanceyi sp. nov., Myalina (Myalina) cf. wyomingensis (Lea).
